2. A just man is not one who does no ill, But he, who with the power, has not the will.
3. A man is a little thing while he works by and for himself; but when he gives voice to the rules of love and justice, he is godlike.
4. Above all other things is justice. Success is a good thing; wealth is good also; honour is better, but justice excels them all.
5. All men are by nature equal, made all of the same earth by one Workman; and however we deceive ourselves, as dear unto God is the poor peasant as the mighty prince.
6. All Nature is but art unknown to thee; All chance direction, which thou canst not see; All discord, harmony not understood; All partial evil, universal good; And spite of pride, in erring reason's spite, One truth is clear, Whatever is is right.
7. But knowledge itself is not Power. Wisdom is Power; and her Prime Minister is Justice, which is the perfected law of Truth.
8. Equal rights for all, special privileges for none.

14. He who is only just is cruel. Who on earth could live were all judged justly?
15. How invincible is justice if it be well spoken.
16. I do not see why we should not be as just to an ant as to a human being.

30. Justice is as strictly due between neighbour nations, as between neighbour citizens. A highwayman is as much a robber when he plunders in a gang, as when single; and a nation that makes an unjust war is only a great gang of robbers.
31. Justice is my being allowed to do whatever I like. Injustice is whatever prevents my doing so.

63. What is justice? - To give every man his own.
64. When a man wants to murder a tiger, he calls it sport; When the tiger wants to murder him, he calls it ferocity. The distinction between crime and justice is no greater.
65. Whenever a separation is made between liberty and justice, neither, in my opinion, is safe.

67. Your levellers wish to level down as far as themselves, but they cannot bear levelling up to themselves.
