The sun! It rose with beauty,
Upon the Pilbara plain.
It rose above the mountain,
Its heart was full of pain.
For it had spied a thing more beautiful,
Than it had ever seen.
A creature of such splendour,
A goddess or a queen.
The sun looked down and kissed you,
And gave you, a sunbeam from his heart.
And joyous tear fell from his eye,
'Cos he had known from the start,
I've seen the sunrise in the Pilbara,
And I've seen your beauty too.
The sun alas! Has been put to shame,
By the loveliness of you.

'Twas the morning aft' the storm,
I put my lips upon her cheek,
I felt a heaving in her chest,
Our bodies met we joined as one,
This love for us is 'o' so new,
To keep our love we hold inside,

Each time we are apart.
I cannot stop this feeling,
I have within my heart.
And I need to tell you so.
And with every passing day,
My love just seems to grow.
And I know you always will.
But this aching heart of mine,
Never seems to get its fill.
And I have a tear in my eye.

Each time we say goodbye.

The beauty and the splendour there,

You told me in a soft, soft voice,
To you this all was new.
You said you were not scared.
That you'd had come to meet me here,
To see if I really cared.
To seek the same of you.
I had, kissed your lips and held your hand,
There was one thing left to do.
There was nothing to be said.
We then made love like nev' before,
Then lay exhausted on the bed.
And most everybody knows.
Thoughts give you hopes and give you dreams,
And gives you sweet repose.
The thoughts I have are true.
They keep repeating in my soul,
Of the love I have for you.
That tells those thoughts within my heart.
My life, my soul, my everything,
Has been yours from the start.
In the only way I know.
That, is to hold you in my arms,
And never let you go.
From where I do not know.
And I guess I could not tell,
If this was really so.
I knew not what to do.
The feeling that it gave to me,
Was something really new?
And of worldly things I knew.
But the wind it blew your love to me,
I knew this was not true.
A love I know that's true.
'Cos, when I look into your eyes,
I know that love it came from you.
I guess I'll never know.
And the wind that blew your love to me,
Will it always blow?
It was humid calm and warm.
I held my lover in my arms,
I was enraptured by her charms.
There were no words I need to speak.
With her soft breath upon my face,
We fell into a deep embrace.
As my hand caressed her breast.
She softly placed her lips to mine,
Her kisses they were, so divine.
This life of ours had just begun.
My love for you was meant to be.
And your love was meant for me.
We knew at last what we must do.
Make this promise from the start,
