~~~ Commitment to Love ~~~
~~ Both ~~
I commit to you my heart and soul,
Within this life this is my goal.
~~ My goal ~~
To hold you close and very near,
To take away your every fear.
To hold your heart in that of mine,
So our very souls can intertwine.
To take your hurts and pains away,
To make you happy every day.
To give my love to you untold,
Each time within my arms I hold.
~~ Your goal ~~
In me my dear it's much the same,
My love is truth, no more a game.
Our hearts will melt; with each touch,
It's you my darling I love so much.
Come hold my hand in yours my dear,
There is no need to ever fear.
Then lovers we shall ever be,
From now until eternity.
~~ Both ~~
These commitments I shall make,
And others now I shall forsake.
Our hearts and souls are just as one,
Our lives with each has now begun.
~~~ "What Are You Doing?" ~~~

"What are you doing?"
"Well I don't know,"
"You'd better say, before it grows."

" I knew a girl just like you,
And I didn't know just what to do.
So I sat down and tried to think,
Why this girl, tickled me pink.
She made me feel so really good,
And to be friends I knew we would.
So we made a pact just her and me,
To tell the truth for all to see.
And to tell each other how we felt,
And what made our two hearts melt.
And why we felt so close to each,
And what our souls stretched out to meet.

Like opposites we do attract,
And faults for good we must subtract.
And look for good in those we meet,
And learn of them of how to treat.
But most of all we need to find,
What gives to us our troubled mind.
And to find that answer very quick,
Before our minds become too sick.

Next time you have a trouble dear,
Come to me and sit close near.
And tell me that what troubles you,
So we can fix it, just we two.
'Cos when it's fixed your heart will glow,
A soft white light that gently flows.
Then, you will have peace and have control,
Of your heart and of your soul.

"What are you doing?"
"Well I don't know,"
"You'd better say, before it grows."

~~~ Why Ladies Study The Bible ~~~
Those ladies they all gather to their bible group each day,
Do they come to read and study, or do they come to sing and pray.
But, I wonder why they do this, is it through their guilt or fear,
Or do they come to justify the reason why they're here.
Adam was the first to see and understand our Lord,
Eve was next but took first bite, to create all this discord.
She started all that panic, that's now a part of man,
So, do those ladies study now, to find forgiveness if they can.
Forgiveness for deception and our loss of paradise,
It was Eve who failed us, to take the Lords advice.
So, those women they can study for a hundred thousand years,
But they'll never find the answer to all those wasted tears.
Those tears we have wasted when our loved ones they all die,
God promised us eternal life, if we didn't lie.
But the biting of that apple threw all of that away,
And now we wait for death to come every single day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The bible quotes its passages, to those, who wish to understand,
They tell us all to build our faith, on concrete not on sand.
But, it doesn't say to study them, or contradict those words,
Or turn them into politics, to make those words absurd.

If, we were meant to study, all those words the bible says,
And to change those words to suit ourselves for the order of the day.
They would be writ in riddles, or in codes we do not know,
Then, we all would have to study them, to know which way to go.

But I myself I know for sure, I can read them when I please,
And to understand those words I read, they come to me with ease.
Because, my faith in God is real, I trust those words within that book,
And I have no need to challenge them, or take a deeper look.

So, why do I need to study, those words of long ago?
I've read that book The Bible, so I know which way to go.
And, if I get lost along my way, and, head in the wrong direction,
I think about Lord Jesus Christ, and of his resurrection.

~~~ Carol Anne ~~~
To you Carol Anne a word from my heart
This advice let me give unto thee,
Look in your mirror and pretend that your eyes
Are the ones that belong just to me.
You may see a few wrinkles that come with the years,
And some lines that may stay on your face,
But those lines and those wrinkles that come with the years,
Are the things that we cannot replace.
Please, look past those wrinkles and look past those lines,
Like I, as I look unto you,
Then you'll see the picture that I always see,
A picture of beauty that's true.
As those years roll along we only can try
To find happiness, a day at a time,
For, we really don't know if that day is our last
And that is a terrible crime.
We live in these times where vanity lives,
Where people they judge what they see,
But, you Carol Anne are a wonderful sight,
That gives so much pleasure to me.
So, take every day as it comes if you can
And spend it with those whom you love,
And count all you blessings and the breath that you breathe
That comes from your heaven above.
We cannot replace those years and that time
As they march never missing a beat,
But, those wrinkles and lines can fade from our sight
With our eyes as that mirror we greet
So, when you go walking and look at your-self
In a reflection as you pass it by,
Remember those words, I have passed on to you
Pretend it not you, but it's I.
~~~ A Sinner or A Loser ~~~

I haven't time to listen, to those ones that butt right in,
They tell me I'm a loser and a committer of a sin.
A sin of what I ask them, what ever have I done,
I only help my fellow man and, look for a bit of fun.

A sinner they all call me, for the grog I sometimes drink,
A sinner for the bad thoughts, my evil mind must think.
And a sinner for the wayward girls, I frequent every day,
And a sinner for those swearing words, I always seem to say.

So, that makes me out a loser, within the eyes of those,
And it makes me out a loser in my clobber I call clothes.
And a loser for those whiskers I wear upon my face,
I'm a loser just a loser, a flamin' big disgrace.

But, I've often wondered if they have, looked upon them selves,
And have they looked, in to that mirror, they keep upon their shelves.
And I wonder what they really see, when they dress and comb their hair,
And do they really see what's real, when they are standing there.

And do they think about those times, when they have may be sinned,
And forgot about it straight away, in case it caused a din.
And covered up their every trace, of sinning they have done,
And said to those, around themselves, "T'was only just in fun".

Wouldn't it be wonderful if those who kept the scores,
Only looked for goodness, in those of us with flaws.
And gave us all the benefit, t'ween what is wrong from right,
And gave us guidance through each day, and through our darkest night.

But, I guess that's just my fantasies, or a dream or hope of mine,
And it's pretty hard, for a bloke like me, to toe their flamin' line.
So, I guess I'll stay a loser, and a sinner I will be,
And be at ease with all my faults and keep on bein' free.

~~~ On Soft Golden Sand ~~~
You ask me my dear what do I think?
I think how grand it would be,
To walk hand in hand on soft golden sand
And swim in the beautiful sea.
I can see us together my darling I can,
Facing and testing our love;
We'll walk all those shores, that we've walked before,
Like Noah when sending his dove.
We'll search and we'll find a lot we have missed,
When blinded by others in pain;
That's when we will find, a love we can bind,
And not lose our direction again.
So, when you ask what I think of what it would be,
If we walked from that soft golden sand?
I think and I fear with-out us being here,
Our lives would not go as we planned.
We'd lose all our caring and love that we had,
We'd be angry and spiteful with hate,
We'd not be the same, we'd be crazy with pain,
Forgiveness would come just too late.
We'd not love again like we did once before,
We'd mistrust be weary and scared;
We'd be cold as the snow, our love wouldn't grow
We'd be single and never be paired.
So, you ask me my dear what do I think?
I think how grand it would be,
To walk hand in hand, with you on that sand,
And swim in the beautiful sea.
*******************************************
I wish you could be that beautiful sea,
And I be that soft golden sand;
Then, we'd spend our life without trouble or strife,
Together, with hand holding hand.
~~~ Who We Are ~~~

We look at the stars that float in the sky,
And, if I could be you and you could be I,
Our places we'd change just for a time,
We'd share all our words, in rhythm and rhyme.

And, if you could be me and I could be you,
Think of the wonderful things we could do.
We'd float round the sky, around a bright star,
And, there we'd find out, who really we are.

You'd know who you are, and me who I am,
Like butter to bread, and bread is to jam.
Like bees are to honey and leaves are to trees,
How really how wonderful, that ever would be.

But! We look at the stars right up in the sky,
And you are just you, and I am just I.
We, cannot change places, not even in time,
Not either for rhythm nor either for rhyme.

So! You cannot be me, nor I can be you,
And what in the world could we ever do.
We'd not reach the sky, nor float round a star,
And we'd never find out, who really we are.

But! You are who you are and I am who I am
The bread with the butter, the bread with the jam.
The bees with the honey, the leaves with the trees,
How really how wonderful that is to be.

So! We'll go to the stars right up in the sky,
And you will be you and I will be I.
And we'll never change places, not even in time,
Not even for rhythm nor either for rhyme.

And I will be me and you will be you,
There is nothing else ever, we will ever do.
We'll still reach the sky and float round a star,
And find out exactly who really we are.

So, you are just you and I'm who I am,
And we are just bread with butter and jam.
And bees with their honey and trees with their leaves,
And that is exactly how it's going to be.

~~~ Poor Mary Anne ~~~
Poor Mary Anne she married a man,
And her life didn't have, any reason or plan.
She lived in the country, did the best that she can,
And she never saw Russia or even Japan.
Her youth disappeared in a blink of an eye,
And she wondered just why, love passed her by.
And she hid all the tears she wanted to cry,
And she curled up sometimes just wanting to die.
The man that she married was older you see,
By quite a few years, much older than she.
But she knew in her heart that love couldn't be.
And until that man died she'd never be free.
So she stays there and puts up with anger and pain,
Knowing she'd never find love once again.
And she lives her sad life and she lives it in vain,
With only just memories that live in her brain.
~~~ Contemplation ~~~~

Underneath these trees we sit,
To contemplate the day;
And then we try and to decide,
If it's here we're going to stay.

We'd like to have a look around,
At other places too;
But, at the mo' we have to stay,
'Cos, there are thing's we have to do.

We have to make dam bloody sure,
That we really are alive;
And, to enjoy our happiness,
And the place's we will drive.

So, it's underneath these trees we sit,
And contemplate it deep;
Of what we plan to do today,
And what we plan to keep.
